I’ve know kat for years. I met her through our mutual love of my pony TomTom. She was one of my biggest supporters as I started my own lesson/training program. Her passion, knowledge and horsemanship is astounding. As a healer and bodyworker, she is extremely intuitive! She has a very unique approach to the whole horse's wellbeing. She utilizes many different modalities and helps my lesson horses feel their absolute best. Kat is now my "go-to" person for everything related to nutrition, movement, and over all equine health. She is kind, patient, effective and spends hours with my horses! All of my horses move so much better after a session with her. I am so grateful she offers her services and is part of my team. All of my horses love when she comes to work on them. It's a tough job being a lesson horse and Kat makes all of their lives so much more comfortable.

Kat does amazing work with horses, rebalancing them and helping them release to be comfortable in their own bodies. She has worked on my older retired horses and my young ones just starting into work. Each horse appreciates her individual approach to their own issues. Kat has helped me see problem areas, and identify ways to move forward with the horses I'm training. By combining her riding knowledge with her muscle/bodywork education she can profoundly help horses.

Kat has been doing bodywork on my horse for three years. I always love nerding out on all things equine with her! She has helped me understand why my horse benefits from bodywork, and always suggests exercises and stretches that I can do worth my horse to help us achieve our goals.
Here’s what I love about Kat:
She is always learning; she is a consummate researcher and thoroughly enjoys exploring all the ways we can support our horses becoming the very best version of themselves. She sees the whole horse and understands how everything is connected. She knows there is a reason behind every body compensation and loves to puzzle out what changes can be made in the horse’s diet, environment, training schedule, tack, etc. to allow that horse improved access to its full range of motion.
As a whole horse hoof care provider, I’m always encouraging my clients to get bodywork done for their horses. In addition the horses feeling and performing better, it’s an opportunity for us to learn more about how to support our horse and deepen our connection with them.

I am so pleased with the work Kat has done with my horses. In just a single session she was able to get one of my mares to actually relax and stand square. Her whole stance changed. She usually stands hollowed out and with her pelvis tilted. after a single session she stood square and had a much more relaxed posture. My other mare has such strange things going on in her hind end she usually tight rope walks and cross canters. especially on her left lead. after just a single session with her, she was able to take up her left lead after just a few strides and for the first time in her life was able to carry a collected frame on the left lead. I am so impressed with how big a difference Kat has made with all of my horses in such a short period of time!

My gelding has been on a long rehab journey. He came to me with probably 15+ years of history practicing poor posture and I knew "just riding" wouldn't fix that. He was also very defensive of his body, particularly with anyone new. Kat was patient with him from the first moment. She gave him the time and space he needed to process things, and very tactfully crafted her sessions to balance giving him the choice to say "no," but also sometimes gently proceeding so he could actually feel a release. He has come to trust her and, with consistency, his sessions have gotten better and better. Additionally, when my gelding injured himself, Kat adjusted her sessions with him accordingly, addressing all the areas she knew would be impacted by the accident. Her extensive knowledge is clear in how she answers each of my questions, and how she flows with what the horse is indicating they need. Further, her compassion for healing horses is evident in all that she does. As an equine behavior consultant, I see so many pain-related behavior issues in horses. Any horse can benefit from bodywork, and I would highly recommend Kat to anyone interested!

Owner of Dante, Bodywork and Biomechanics
My thoroughbred Dante had a rough start to his life in Western North Carolina. A stifle injury that led to an extended stall rest left him weak and in pain. Kat has guided us through his recovery from an injury. She helped him to feel better, get stronger and taught us how to help him continue the progress. Her knowledge of equine biomechanics, care and compassion for both horses and rider have taken us to a new level in our partnership.

I sent my gelding, Rev, to stay with Kat for a while in order to address some things we were struggling with. She immediately identified some areas of weakness and asymmetry, and began working with him (and me!) to address them. His muscleing and the way he carried himself started changing very quickly. I went to visit him weekly, and Kat spent a lot of time with me, going into detail about what she was doing and why it matters. Rev came back to my place as an improved version of himself, and we are making quicker progress together. I feel very confident in recommending Kat for training and rehab needs. Your horse will come back to you feeling better, both physically and mentally.

Simply put, Kat is amazing at what she does. I have been working with her as a professional for almost a year and have worked with her prior as an amateur. Every time she works on a lesson horse, one of my client's horses, or one of my own, I see an incredible difference. There is a substantial change in physical and mental well being. She is so knowledgeable about what she does and has a beautifully holistic approach. I will continue to work with Kat forevermore! If you're on the fence about trying bodywork for your horse ... go for it with Kat! It's so worth every penny.

This is my guy and he just loves Kat and her "magic fingers!" She has worked so hard with him to build up his top line as he also has some kissing spine. I have witnessed huge releases, big yawns, relaxation and and a lot of sweat...on both of them! She knows her stuff, and is very thorough in explaining what she is doing and also a written report each time showing problem areas and progress too! He spent 2 months at her farm and turned in to the most relaxed and mellow boy. She is also a beautiful rider, great posture and feel for the horse. I am so happy I found her...Legacy is too!!
